Join us for a fun Summer Day Camp This 2020!
Are your kids tired of their usual summer camp activities? Renew their enthusiasm with our summer day camp. This year, summer camp will begin on June 8, 2020 and will end on August 14, 2020. You don’t have to enroll for the entire camp. You can choose the weeks that suit your family the best. Our camp has a different theme every week.
Each week, your kids will enjoy games, learning, and meeting new friends. For the past 20 years, we have been coordinating fun-filled activities that contribute to the academic and spiritual growth of kids who participate in our program.
Summer is a perfect time to explore the world through our educational field trips, meeting new friends, and exploring God’s beautiful creation. This is the best way to keep your children busy this summer. You shouldn’t miss this year’s most awaited summer camp in Northern Virginia. Your kids deserve the best summer of their lives. Each week campers will:
- Enjoy exciting chapels which include high energy songs of praise and powerful lessons.
- Participate in activities, crafts, and games which are related to the
weekly theme. - Enjoy a day at the pool (weather permitting — Group A pool day is on campus while Groups B & C visit area pools).
- Take a trip or enjoy a special event which enhances our weekly theme.
Registration: $50
Preschool: $280/week
Elementary: $290 week
Lunch: $28/week

Around the World in 5 Days
Pack your suitcase and grab your passport–it’s time to explore the world! Campers will visit a different country each day and get a glimpse of the country’s culture–all without the hassle of lost luggage, security checks and jet lag! Travelers will learn new languages, taste new foods, play unique games and create beautiful art that represents the places they visit. As campers circle the globe, they will learn about missionaries serving around the world and what it means to tell others about Jesus whether it’s down the street or in different lands. ¡Vámonos! Let’s go!
June 15 – 19
Concrete and Cranes
Grab your hard hat and hammer! We need your help to BUILD, DESTORY and CONSTRUCT! Will you use Legos? Bricks? Toothpicks? Or maybe even…marshmallows!? As campers explore a world of concrete and cranes, rivets and rebar, bulldozers and backhoes, they will learn to build their faith on Jesus as they uncover the truth that He who began a good work will be faithful to carry it on to completion. We’re all a work in progress, but just wait ‘til you see what God will do!
June 22 – 26
Speed Racers
CRUSADERS….START YOUR ENGINES! Are you made for speed? This week we will rev up your engine with all things racing. Campers will design their own race car and choose their own sponsors. Racers will study friction and experiment with a variety of ways to make things go fast. Campers will learn that when we put God in the driver’s seat, we are champions! On RACE DAY, each racer will compete in the CRCS 500! Who will win? It’s a race to the finish line!
June 29 – July 3 (closed 7/3)
Red, White and Beach Week
Celebrate summer and the Fourth of July with water, sand, sun and fun! We will honor our heroes and create replicas of our beloved national landmarks. Grab your towel, sand toys and beach bag too! Have you ever been to a Patriotic Beach Party? Will there be fireworks? Probably not, but this American celebration is sure to make you “Ooh!” and “Ahhh!”
July 6 – 10
Crusader Camp Out
Time to take a trek through the wilderness of Camp Crusader. Lace up your boots for this outdoor adventure, exploring God’s amazing creation and all He has made. Campers will enjoy hiking, roasting s’mores, investigating bugs and more! We will even try to catch a fish or two. Bring your appetite, as homemade trail mix and Bug Juice are on the menu. Don’t forget your sleeping bag for the “camp out!” You are sure to be a “Happy Camper” this week!
July 13 – 17
Ooey Gooey Slimy Science
Ready to be wowed by science? This week is packed with cool reactions and oozing slime. Campers, put on your goggles and create crazy concoctions while learning about liquids, molecules, chemistry and more! Campers will get to handle laboratory tools and learn about science that sizzles. Are you ready for the wonderful, weird world of science?
July 20 – 24
Submerged
It’s time to dive deep, deep under the mysterious sea! Divers will explore the ocean floor, discover interesting sea creatures and even search for sunken treasures. You may even encounter some friendly pirates on your voyage! Are you ready to taste delicious “C” food and be amazed by God’s creation? Grab your goggles, step into your flippers, and dive right in!
July 27 – 31
Summer Olympics 2020
The opening ceremony begins in Athens, Greece where campers will experience the first Olympics. Campers will learn the Olympic creed and play ancient Olympic games. Then it is off to the host country of Japan where campers will learn a few Japanese phrases { こんにちは Konnichiwa!}, create Japanese art and make delicious sushi. Our athletes will also head to the training field to prepare for their events. The week will finish at the Crusader Olympics where campers (and their Potato Athletes!) will engage in friendly competition to bring home the gold. GO TEAM USA!
August 3 – 7
Space is the Place
3, 2, 1…BLAST OFF! This outer space week will let our campers get lost in space as they explore planets, stars, and asteroids. Campers will earn their wings as they proceed through flight training school. Our astronauts will search for moon rocks and taste astronaut ice cream. The flight crew will build rockets and study gravity on the moon! God’s handiwork will be on display as we go stargazing and try to name all the constellations. God’s majesty is out of this world!
August 10 – 14
H20 WOW
Cool off this week with wet and wild adventures. Encounter creatures from the sea and plan to have a soaking-great time! Be ready for relays, races and a lot of fun. Grab your towel, suit, and your extra change of clothes as every day you’ll get soaked! Friendship and fun will culminate with an end of camp Wacky Water Party!

Calling all entomologists! They ARE creepy…they ARE slithery, but They ARE necessary! Campers will learn about
The insects of The world and their amazing abilities. We will hold insects, make insects and even learn to love
them…maybe!
June 17 – 21
In The Wild
Lace your hiking boots and bring your binoculars! Get ready for some crazy animal encounters! We are embarking on a wild adventure—with elephants and egrets, polar bears and penguins, parrots and crocodiles. Campers will explore The great outdoors, become Hungry Hippos and participate in STEAM challenges to trap and rescue the animals they discover.
June 24 – 28
Wild Wild West
Strap on Those cowboy boots, we’re heading out west! Let’s get together with The rest of the cowpokes and live
like they did in the Wild West. We’ll pan for gold, tame broncos (well, maybe pony rides) and end The week with
campfire food and an authentic Wild West hoedown. Yeehaw!

Holiday Scramble
Everyone has a favorite holiday! Join us as we celebrate the most fun holidays of the year…IN ONE WEEK! We’ll
go Christmas caroling, make valentines and even hunt for Easter eggs! Merry Happy Holiday Mix-Up! Turkey anyone?

Sportstacular
Calling all athletes and energetic game-enthusiasts! Whether you’re looking for classics or wacky games, you’ll
love this sports—filled week. Challenge yourself to compete in good old-fashioned games and crazy new ones,
plus everything In between — The best part is none involve a screen. We’re all about Team spirit, good sportsmanship
and godly character!

Chill Out
Do you wanna build a snowman? Let’s turn down The heat and create Virginia’s first ever blizzard in July! Campers
will enjoy snow cones, build an igloo and have a snowball fight Get out your mittens, hats and scarves! We will
provide The hot chocolate and marshmallows! BRRR!

Mad Scientist
Our campers will become junior scientists for the week and embark on a series of science adventures! Campers
will explore, test, investigate, and discover God’s world through crazy, messy experiments. Yes, we will have an
explosion or two! (Chemicals, goggles and safety gear provided!)
July 29 – August 2
Medieval Madness
Dragons, Princes, Princesses, Knights, Damsels in Distress and even a Jester or Two! Come and step back to the
days of yore with Kings and Queens of fairy tales and legends! Campers will become enchanted with medieval
games, medieval warfare and medieval castle life. Kingdom vs. Kingdom, who will win?!
August 5 – 9
Splash And Dash
Dive into our wettest week ever! Arm yourself with water balloons, pack your swimsuit and prepare to get soaked!
Be ready to play water relays and slip and slide all over camp! Each day we will keep you cool while having tons
of soaking good fun! It’s sure to be a splash!

As a parent, CRCS offers an awesome school and summer program! The school has an excellent academic program that provides a solid Bible-based foundation in all areas of instruction. I appreciate that the school offers various enrichment classes like Spanish, technology education, and creative arts, along with P.E., library, and music. The faculty and staff are also great! The summer program is a great balance of traditional summer camp activities, swimming, field trips, and special events. The theme weeks add excitement to every week! The counselors are well-trained and caring. Overall an excellent camp program! We love CRCS!
Great summer camp! My two grandchildren attended last summer and they both loved it. The themes and activities are planned well in advance, and the children can dress accordingly - whether it's to "visit" a foreign country, play games, have a swim day, or one of the many other activities. And they always seem to have so much fun that they don't even realize they are learning new things in the process. It's so good to know that you can leave the kiddos in an environment with all of the current security features in place, under the supervision of a well-trained, safe and secure Christian staff whose goal is to fill each child's day with fun-filled activities, education, and excitement, and to keep the Lord in the center of it all. When I pick up my grandchildren at the end of the day, they don't want to leave. Then they can't wait to tell you everything they did and show you everything they made.
